After a 114-day hiatus due to injury, Trinity Rodman, the 23-year-old forward for the U.S. women’s national team, made a stunning comeback on Sunday. Coming off the bench for the Washington Spirit against the Portland Thorns, she scored the decisive goal in stoppage time. The goal was assisted by a flick from Croix Bethune after a cross from Courtney Brown.
