NFC North Betting Insights 2025: Packers Rise, Bears Struggle

As the 2025 season approaches, we assess the NFC North teams' potential, highlighting the Packers' promising outlook and the Bears' challenges.

The NFC North division shone bright in the previous NFL season, boasting three teams in the playoffs. The Detroit Lions made a significant mark by securing the top seed in the conference, while the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers also clinched wild card berths. As this new season unfolds, expectations remain elevated for these teams. Notably, they are seeing win totals projected between 9.5 and 10.5.

Using our NFL Power Rankings, we evaluate each team’s strength of schedule for 2025. The Bears face the most challenging slate, followed by the Lions, Vikings, and Packers, setting the stage for intense competition in the upcoming season.

The Packers Look to Build on Last Year’s Success

The Packers finished third in the division despite a remarkable +122 point differential and 11 wins. Their third-place finish allows them an advantageous matchup this year against other third-place teams, substantially improving their odds.

OUTCOME DETROIT GREEN BAY MINNESOTA CHICAGO
MISS PLAYOFFS +150, 40% 29.1% +105, 48.8% 23.3%
LOSE WC ROUND +330, 23.3% 21.5% +320, 23.8% 22.9%
LOSE DIV ROUND +440, 18.5% 19.7% +470, 17.5% 22.3%
LOSE AFC CHAMP +750, 11.8% 13.2% +950, 9.5% 14.6%
LOSE SUPER BOWL +1200, 7.7% 7.5% +1700, 5.6% 8.7%
SUPER BOWL CHAMP +1000, 9.1% 9% +1800, 5.3% 8.2%

The NFC North teams will face the NFC East divisional opponents this year, with standout teams Philadelphia and Washington visiting Green Bay, which should be an advantage.

Interestingly, with a relatively easier schedule and competitive odds, we foresee Green Bay as the favorites to win the division, with a top line at +270 from Caesars, which gives them a 27% chance. However, our analysis suggests they have a 42% probability of taking the division’s title.

On the other hand, Aidan Hutchinson returns to bolster the Lions’ defense, although with changes in coaching staff, they will have to adapt swiftly. The models suggest they are positioned well for a playoff run, with a line of +1100 from DraftKings indicating a fair return.

The Vikings, led by Kevin O’Connell, are poised for success but currently have less favorable playoff odds. The best line for them to qualify sits at -102 on FanDuel.

Chicago, however, is seen as struggling with one of the toughest schedules paired with untested talent, making them substantial underdogs in our betting forecasts.
