UFC Partners with Paramount+ to Revamp Media Distribution, Ending Pay-Per-View Model
Paramount and TKO Group Holdings have entered a seven-year partnership for UFC's media rights, transitioning to a subscription model.
Paramount+ has secured the exclusive rights to air all numbered UFC events and Fight Nights starting in 2026, as part of a significant seven-year agreement revealed by Paramount, a subsidiary of Skydance Corporation, and TKO Group Holdings.
The partnership marks a shift from the current pay-per-view model to a more accessible streaming setup, with select high-profile fights also broadcast on CBS. Paramount aims to deliver UFC’s entire lineup of 13 marquee events and 30 Fight Nights solely through its platform, enhancing fan engagement and increasing subscriber numbers.
In a joint statement, David Ellison, Paramount’s Chairman and CEO, expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with key UFC executives: “I couldn’t be more excited to join forces with Dana, Ari, and Mark. Rarely do opportunities arise to partner on an exclusive basis with a global sports powerhouse like UFC – an organization with extraordinary global recognition, scale, and cultural impact. Paramount’s advantage lies in the expansive reach of our linear and streaming platforms.”
UFC, already the leading brand in mixed martial arts, boasts around 100 million fans in the U.S. and continues to grow its presence across traditional, digital, and social media channels. With over 350 hours of live content broadcast yearly, this partnership is poised to further cement UFC’s position in the sports industry.
