Angel Reese’s Impressive Comeback: Scoring 19 Points After Injury
Chicago Sky star Angel Reese made a spectacular return on Tuesday from a prolonged absence due to a back injury. Despite her strong performance, which included 19 points, the Sky fell to the Seattle Storm with a final score of 94-88.
After missing seven consecutive games, Reese was finally cleared to return to practice last weekend. Following a successful shootaround on Tuesday morning, she received the go-ahead to play.
She quickly demonstrated her capabilities by scoring a tough layup under a minute into the match and continued to contribute throughout the game, achieving one of her most effective performances of the season.

Reese had not played since July 29, where she faced the Washington Mystics. That game was a tough outing for her as well, managing only 22 points due to both foul trouble and her ongoing back pain.
With Tuesday’s loss, the Sky now have a record of 8-26, nearing elimination from playoff consideration.
Reese’s season has been a series of ups and downs; she began with a historically poor performance but began to find her rhythm, recording her first triple-double on June 15. Over a streak of 11 consecutive double-doubles, she averaged 16.9 points and 13.1 rebounds.
She was also marked as an All-Star for the second time in her short career on July 6.
