The Little League World Series has kicked off with excitement, but in a recent match between the Metro and Mountain Regions, a foul ball literally caused some damage. In a close contest, the Mountain Region’s pitcher threw a challenge that sent SJ Taxiltaridis swinging, resulting in a foul that struck a TV camera.
Upon impact, the camera shattered into numerous pieces. It’s the kind of dramatic moment you’d almost never replicate, no matter how many times you tried.

This incident is astonishing, but it’s not just about the broken equipment. Both the Metro and Mountain regions are competing for a place in the US Final, with the defeated team still having a chance to continue in the tournament against the Midwest Region and Southeast Region winners.
Earlier that day, the team from Chinese Taipei advanced to the International Final after defeating Venezuela. As the tournament progresses towards the championship, keep up with all the results and updated bracket right here at CBS Sports.
