A'ja Wilson Continues MVP Campaign with Another 30-Point Performance as Aces Claim 10th Consecutive Win

The Las Vegas Aces extend their winning streak to ten games, with A'ja Wilson scoring 36 points against the Washington Mystics.

The Las Vegas Aces are on a roll, having won ten straight games. During this impressive streak, A’ja Wilson scored 36 points, leading the Aces to a 91-81 victory over the Washington Mystics. This marks the Aces’ longest winning streak since their move to Las Vegas and is the longest in the WNBA since 2021.

Just a month ago, the Aces struggled with a record below .500. They even suffered a whopping 53-point loss to the Minnesota Lynx, one of the largest in league history, on August 2. However, they’ve found their form and now sit at 24-14, fighting for the No. 2 seed and homecourt advantage in the playoffs.

A’ja Wilson has been the driving force behind this turnaround. With Saturday’s 36-point performance, she added to her impressive tally, marking her 10th game this season with 30 or more points. Wilson has made history as the first player in WNBA history to have multiple seasons with ten or more 30-point games, bringing her career total to 34, second only to Diana Taurasi’s record of 54.

During the Aces’ winning streak, Wilson averaged 27.3 points and made significant impacts on defense, contributing to her MVP campaign. The race for MVP is heating up, especially with Napheesa Collier remaining the favorite despite struggling with injuries, making the competition for the top honors tighter than ever.
