Aaron Rodgers Open to Returning to Pittsburgh Steelers in 2026

Rodgers, now at 41, isn't dismissing the idea of continuing his NFL journey with the Steelers beyond 2025.

While Aaron Rodgers acknowledges that his current season may be the last, he hasn’t completely closed the door on the possibility of continuing beyond 2025. In a discussion regarding team prospects with fellow Steelers player DK Metcalf, Rodgers shared insights about his future in the NFL.

Metcalf remarked, “I think we’re gonna do some special things this year. Looking forward to it, and you know, maybe we can run it back.” To which Rodgers responded, “Maybe.”

The conversation suggests that Metcalf is already encouraging Rodgers to contemplate another year with the Steelers. After his initial summer with Pittsburgh, Rodgers feels optimistic enough to keep an open mind about a potential second season with the team.

Rodgers compared his current experience with the Steelers to his time at the Packers, noting the rich winning history at Pittsburgh. “I’m having a blast,” he said, emphasizing the positive atmosphere that he feels in the organization.
