The Cleveland Browns have released quarterback Tyler Huntley as they finalize their QB roster ahead of the NFL’s cut deadline. The decision follows Huntley’s leading performance in the preseason finale against the Los Angeles Rams.
Huntley joined the Browns earlier in the preseason due to Kenny Pickett’s injury. His release means the team will proceed with four quarterbacks: Joe Flacco (starter), Pickett, rookie Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders.
General Manager Andrew Berry announced, “Keeping four quarterbacks isn’t much of a decision for us as we feel this is an opportunity.”
This move comes as the team approaches the NFL’s roster cut deadline at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
