Islam Makhachev will face Jack Della Maddalena for the welterweight title, with the co-main event featuring Valentina Shevchenko against Zhang Weili, both fights happening at UFC 322 in Madison Square Garden on November 15. The event was announced by UFC CEO Dana White via Instagram. Additionally, a notable matchup supporting the main card includes Leon Edwards against Carlos Prates.

Makhachev recently vacated the UFC lightweight title after achieving a record four title defenses. If he wins, he will be the eleventh two-division champion in UFC history. This bout will mark Della Maddalena’s first title defense after claiming the welterweight title at UFC 315.

Shevchenko is on a three-fight unbeaten streak while Zhang, who is moving up in weight, is currently on a five-fight winning streak. This is anticipated as one of the most significant women’s fights in recent years.
