Fantasy Football Insights: No. 12 Pick Strategy in PPR Leagues

A dive into the drafting strategy for those selecting 12th in PPR fantasy football leagues, featuring insights and player picks.

In this fantasy football draft, picking from the 12th slot often means starting with two top-tier wide receivers. I aimed to minimize spending on running backs early, especially if Omarion Hampton wasn’t available at my third-round pick. I anticipated selecting some later-round RBs that are showing promise.

During the fourth round, I faced a tough choice between George Kittle and Jalen Hurts—ultimately opting for the tight end to align with my usual drafting style.

This article represents a mock draft experiment where a group consisting of me, Dan Schneier, Adam Aizer, Jamey Eisenberg, Thomas Shafer, and Heath Cummings engaged in a structured 14-round selection process. Each of us constructed two teams from twelve positions to showcase various strategies.

In this draft, my selections included:

Highlighting my favorite pick, Rashee Rice, who has shown impressive potential, averaging 20.8 points when receiving at least 75% of snaps. Conversely, my riskier choice was Jacory Croskey-Merritt, who may fall short under unexpected circumstances.

Overall, the structure of my team and insights into these selections may impact your own strategy!
