Champions League Matchday 1: Chelsea Faces Bayern Munich

The Champions League's league phase starts with Chelsea taking on Bayern Munich, alongside other thrilling matchups across the tournament.

The world champions Chelsea will kick off their Champions League journey against Bayern Munich in a highly anticipated match marking the start of the league phase. This opening week also sees Kevin De Bruyne facing off with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

The holders, Paris Saint-Germain, begin their title defense versus Atalanta in a rematch of their 2020 quarterfinal clash. Additionally, Liverpool, a favorite to contend for this year’s trophy, will play their first game at home against Atletico Madrid.

TV Coverage: Paramount+ and CBS Sports will provide the season-long Champions League action, with extensive coverage on Paramount+, CBS Sports Golazo Network, and CBS Sports Network.
