Luka Doncic Achieves Triple-Double Milestone at EuroBasket

Luka Doncic led Slovenia to a significant win at EuroBasket, securing a rare triple-double and setting a new record for youngest player to reach 400 points.

Slovenia triumphed over Belgium with an 86-69 scoreline, thanks to Luka Doncic’s impressive triple-double performance on Sunday. Luka notched up 26 points, along with 11 assists and 10 rebounds in the match held in Katowice, Poland. This feat marked only the fourth triple-double recorded in EuroBasket history since 1995.

Doncic, playing for the Los Angeles Lakers, also became the youngest player to surpass 400 EuroBasket points, achieving this milestone at 26 years and 184 days, besting the record previously held by Tony Parker in 2007 when he was 25 years and 122 days old.

Following defeats to Poland and France despite Doncic’s astounding performances of 34 and 39 points, Slovenia’s next matchup is against Iceland on Tuesday in Group D. The tournament features 24 teams and the top four from each group will progress to the knockout rounds taking place in Riga, Latvia, from September 6-14.
