Mock Draft Insights: Joe Burrow Takes the Lead, Tight Ends Double Down, and More from FFT's Final Draft

A recap of the latest fantasy football mock draft featuring notable picks and strategies ahead of the NFL season kickoff.

We concluded our final 12-team PPR mock draft on Tuesday, and it took an unexpected turn. Heath Cummings picked Brock Bowers and Trey McBride, while Thomas Shafer made Joe Burrow the first quarterback at No. 25. In an interesting twist, I snagged Isiah Pacheco right before Adam Aizer’s eyes in Round 6. If you’re familiar with our Fantasy Football Today podcast, you know Adam’s been a fan of Pacheco all offseason, which made it even more thrilling.

Many Fantasy drafts have wrapped up, but a lot of you will continue drafting until Thursday’s opening game between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles. This mock draft serves as a valuable guide.

For clarity, touchdowns are valued at six points, with one point per ten yards for rushing and receiving, and one point per twenty-five yards for passing, plus one point for each reception. We go with a starting roster that includes one QB, two RBs, three WRs, one TE, a FLEX (RB/WR/TE), a DST, and a kicker, totaling sixteen rounds.
