NEW ORLEANS – The NFL claimed this would be its most secure Super Bowl yet, but during Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show, a protestor managed to join, displaying a Palestinian flag.

At one point, the protestor was observed brandishing a Palestinian flag for several minutes before being confronted by security.

The man was eventually subdued and removed from the field by security personnel.

He was reportedly a member of the 400-strong cast overseeing the halftime event.

The NFL later stated, “We commend security for swiftly detaining the individual displaying the flag. He was part of the 400-member cast and concealed the flag until late in the performance. No one involved in the production was aware of his intentions.”
