Trae Young Joins NBA All-Star Game as Replacement for Injured Star

Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks has been added to the NBA All-Star Game as a replacement for Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is sidelined due to a calf injury.

Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks has been added to the NBA All-Star Game roster as a replacement for Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is sidelined due to a calf injury.

Young expressed his disappointment when he was not initially selected for the game. He humorously noted, “It’s getting ‘Traed’ at this point,” referencing his exclusion.

As the NBA assist leader this season, this marks Young’s fourth All-Star selection. He will play on Team Chuck, joining international stars like Nikola Jokić (Serbia), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Canada), and Victor Wembanyama (France).

Another injury replacement is anticipated, especially with Anthony Davis leaving his Mavericks debut due to an injury.
