Lamar Jackson found himself in a tense situation after a touchdown celebration during the Ravens game in Buffalo, where he was slapped on the helmet by a fan. Jackson retaliated by pushing the fan in response.
Despite the Ravens suffering a narrow 41-40 defeat, the incident sparked significant media interest.
Jackson’s Reflection
After the game, Jackson explained his actions:
“I saw him slap D-Hop…. And then he slapped me. He’s talking, so I just forgot where I was for a little bit. You got to think in those situations, we got security out there, let security handle it. I let my emotion get the best of me. Hopefully it won’t happen again. I’ll learn from that.”
This incident occurred after Jackson threw a stunning 29-yard touchdown pass to Hopkins, who made an incredible one-handed catch. Moments later, while celebrating, they were approached by the same fan who initially hit Hopkins.
The Celebration Turns Sour
Jackson expressed frustration, noting that he reacted to the fan’s actions, which likely will keep him from facing any punishment.
Despite the setback, Baltimore is looking to build on their performance as they move into the rest of the season.
