Deebo Samuel Talks Broncos' Potential for Greatness in 2025

49ers receiver Deebo Samuel hints at the Denver Broncos' bright future in 2025, emphasizing the need for just a few more key pieces.

During Super Bowl week, it was reported that the San Francisco 49ers are expected to explore trading wide receiver Deebo Samuel this offseason. The All-Pro player just turned 29 years old and is due $17.55 million in the final season of a three-year extension signed in 2022.

Samuel recorded 806 yards from scrimmage and scored four touchdowns in 15 games last season, averaging a career-low 44.7 receiving yards per game, signaling a downturn for the 49ers. Changes are imminent this offseason.

Where might Samuel land in the upcoming months? Several potential destinations have surfaced, including the Pittsburgh Steelers, Washington Commanders, and Denver Broncos. Samuel believes that the Broncos could turn heads in 2025, stating:

“I can say Denver; Bo Nix is playing really, really good ball right now. Their defense is outrageous. You got P2 (Patrick Surtain II) out there, who is arguably the best at his position right now.”
Samuel highlights the need for a few more pieces to elevate the team.

Notably, the Broncos require reinforcements at the wide receiver position, and Samuel’s versatility makes him an excellent candidate for Sean Payton’s offensive scheme. The question remains: is it worth the trade cost for the Broncos?

Despite uncertainties, Samuel seems open to a move to Denver, recognizing its potential for a bright future.
