Cleveland Browns Confident Ahead of Showdown with Ravens, Grant Delpit Remarks on Derrick Henry

The Cleveland Browns are generating a lot of buzz as they prepare for their Week 2 clash with the Baltimore Ravens. Players are expressing confidence and making it clear that they do not feel intimidated by one of the elite teams in the AFC and NFL overall.

Both the Browns and Ravens suffered close losses in Week 1, with the Browns falling 17-16 to the Cincinnati Bengals and the Ravens narrowly losing 41-40 to the Buffalo Bills. While the Ravens are perceived as the more complete team, they allowed a significant amount of yardage in their game against the Bills. Notably, quarterback Josh Allen found success against them, particularly in the fourth quarter.

Cleveland aims to capitalize on the Ravens’ vulnerabilities as highlighted by their previous game performance, though some skeptics point out that the Browns’ offensive strategy led by Joe Flacco might not match up to Buffalo’s offensive capabilities.

When questioned about the difficulties of going up against the Ravens’ secondary, Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy simply stated, “No challenges.”

Grant Delpit, the Browns’ safety, expressed assurance regarding tackling a five-time Pro Bowl running back, stating it’s not complex to stop Derrick Henry, saying with a smile, “Not hard.”

Henry responded succinctly to Delpit’s remarks, saying, “Yeah, I saw that. We’ll see on Sunday.” Last week, Henry dominated the field with 169 rushing yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his prowess and extensive experience against the Browns, where he previously racked up 211 yards and three touchdowns in two games last season.

The Browns face the additional hurdle of playing at M&T Bank Stadium, and currently, the Ravens are 11.5 point favorites against them, according to DraftKings.
