Erling Haaland Clinches Five Goals in Norway's 11-1 Victory Over Moldova

Norway was electrifying as they crushed Moldova 11-1, thanks in part to Haaland's five-goal performance.

Norway showcased their scoring prowess with an astonishing 11-1 victory against Moldova in World Cup qualifying, led by five goals from Erling Haaland and four from Thelonious Aasgaard. Norway dominated the match, scoring five goals before halftime, including a three-goal flurry just before the break.

From the start of the match, Norway was in complete control, with even Moldova’s only goal being an own goal by Leo Ostigard, marking a total Norwegian output throughout the match.

Perfectly positioned in World Cup qualifying, Norway looks to secure a spot in the tournament for the first time since 1998. They’re currently six points ahead of Italy and with a significant goal difference of +21, they are well on their way to qualification. The next match will be against Israel on October 11, where a victory will further solidify their standing, albeit they won’t be able to qualify just yet.

As Haaland continues to excel, boasting now 45 goals in just 43 appearances for his country, anticipation builds for a potential star-studded lineup should they qualify for the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
