Rams' Ahkello Witherspoon Lands on Injured Reserve Following Clavicle Injury Against Titans

Los Angeles Rams cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon has been placed on injured reserve due to a broken clavicle sustained during a game against the Tennessee Titans.

The Los Angeles Rams have put cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon on injured reserve due to a broken clavicle suffered during their 33-19 victory against the Tennessee Titans. Witherspoon’s position in the lineup will likely be filled by Darious Williams, who was a healthy scratch in Week 1 but stepped in effectively during the game.

“It’s unfortunate,” McVay said following the Titans match. “It’s a big loss. I thought Darious Williams came in and made a huge play with a vital breakup on third down. [Emmanuel] Forbes and Decobie Durant are also securing their positions in the field. We feel confident in having depth, allowing players to step up.”

Williams had a significant impact on the game, showcasing his skills after returning to the Rams after a stint with the Jacksonville Jaguars following their Super Bowl-winning season. Looking forward, the Rams face the reigning Eagles next Sunday.
