Tom Brady to Compete in Flag Football Tournament with NFL Stars in 2026

The legendary quarterback returns to action in a competitive event featuring several current NFL stars.

While his days as a quarterback in the NFL are over, Tom Brady will return to the football field in a competitive capacity. The seven-time Super Bowl champion is set to participate in The Fanatics Flag Football Classic, a flag football tournament scheduled for March 2026.

Alongside Brady, notable participants include:

  • Saquon Barkley (Philadelphia Eagles, Running Back)
  • Christian McCaffrey (San Francisco 49ers, Running Back)
  • CeeDee Lamb (Dallas Cowboys, Wide Receiver)
  • Tyreek Hill (Miami Dolphins, Wide Receiver)
  • Maxx Crosby (Former Las Vegas Raiders, Pass Rusher)
  • Odell Beckham Jr. (Former NFL, Wide Receiver)
  • Sauce Gardner (New York Jets, Cornerback)
  • Myles Garrett (Cleveland Browns, Pass Rusher)

This event will occur during the Riyadh Season in Saudi Arabia, with additional celebrities from various sports and entertainment fields expected to join.

The tournament comprises three teams led by current NFL coaches:

  • Pete Carroll
  • Sean Payton
  • Kyle Shanahan

Brady expressed his enthusiasm saying, “I couldn’t be more excited to return to the field, get the competitive juices flowing alongside some of the game’s brightest stars and iconic legends, and bring a truly unique global sports event to fans everywhere during Riyadh Season.”

He added, “I’m looking forward to partnering with Turki Alalshikh, Fanatics, OBB Media, my team at Shadow Lion and my friends at FOX Sports to showcase some fierce competition. And I will be bringing home the trophy.”

Having last played competitive football in 2022, Brady remains a prominent figure in the sport. Earlier this summer, he hinted at the possibility of joining Team USA’s first Olympic flag football team in 2028, affirming his competitive spirit, “If you put a football in my hand, then watch out. Because that’s still in there. That’s never going to go away.”
