Lions' Dan Campbell Acknowledges Browns' Defense as Their Toughest Challenge Yet

Ahead of their Week 4 matchup, Lions coach Dan Campbell praises the Browns’ defensive capabilities, indicating they pose a significant threat despite their current record.

The Cleveland Browns currently hold a 1-2 record, but the Detroit Lions, who host them this Sunday, are well aware of their defensive prowess despite the Browns’ lackluster season so far. Following their recent 38-30 victory over the Baltimore Ravens, coach Dan Campbell is focusing on the formidable defense of the Browns.

In discussing the Browns, Campbell cited their tight 13-10 win against the Green Bay Packers, who were undefeated before their matchup, as a testament to Cleveland’s defensive capabilities. He remarked, > “You see what they did to Green Bay. This defense is for real. This will probably be the best defense we’ve faced to date.”

Campbell highlighted the Lions’ offensive achievements against teams like the Chicago Bears and Ravens, tallying up 90 points over the last two weeks. However, they struggled notably against a strong Packers defense in Week 1, scoring only 13 points.

As the Lions prepare for this game, they know that the challenge from the Browns will be intense and that every defensive play on Sunday will matter.

Campbell also emphasized, > “What matters is what’s right in front of you. These guys know what Cleveland is capable of.”
