Kenny Clark Faces His Former Team in Anticipated Matchup

As the NFL season progresses, Kenny Clark prepares to face the Green Bay Packers, the team he once called home, which adds emotional weight to the upcoming game.

FRISCO, Texas – Week 4 of the 2025 NFL season for the Dallas Cowboys is more than just another game against the Green Bay Packers on “Sunday Night Football.”

The highlight of the matchup is the return of All-Pro edge rusher Micah Parsons to AT&T Stadium, having been traded to the Packers just before the regular season began. Despite the Dallas organization’s intentions, this storyline has taken precedence. CBS Sports approached Cowboys’ head coach Brian Schottenheimer about recent struggles on defense, as they allow 30.7 points per game, the fourth-most in franchise history.

Schottenheimer responded with a touch of sarcasm, “Who is coming to town this week?” Upon identifying Parsons as the player in question, he acknowledged the media and fan interest in the storyline, stating, “It’s a big game because it’s the next game.”

In addition to Parsons, another notable figure is the player Dallas received alongside two first-round picks in the trade, three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark.

Clark remarked on his transition saying, “That’s up to whoever. I’m here to win. I’m going to play my ass off and do everything I can to help us get a win.” He recalled a pivotal moment when he was informed about the trade immediately after enjoying time with the Packers’ management.

The game not only brings Clark back to face the Packers, but also allows him an opportunity to demonstrate his skills against former teammates, including quarterback Jordan Love. He expressed eagerness to play against Love, stating, “It’s been a long time coming.”

Despite his professional demeanor, Clark admitted the match’s emotional significance, highlighting the connection to his prior nine years with the Packers. However, he is committed to focusing on the game rather than personal sentiments, insisting, “It’s about the Cowboys getting the win.”

As the game day approaches, both squads look to establish their defensive strategies, aware that this matchup is about far more than just the implications on the scoreboard.
