The Forward Line

🔴 Liverpool are no longer getting away with it
Liverpool’s days of relying on late goals may officially be over.

The Reds suffered a second consecutive defeat on Tuesday, losing 1-0 to Galatasaray after conceding a penalty scored by Victor Osimhen in the 16th minute. Despite outshooting their opponents 16 to 9, their high-caliber attack, led by Hugo Ekitike and Florian Wirtz, failed to score. The performance raised questions on manager Arne Slot’s decisions, particularly starting Dominik Szoboszlai out of position at right back.

It prompted ex-Liverpool defender and CBS Sports analyst Jamie Carragher to voice constructive criticism during a post-match show.

“I don’t feel like I’m watching a top team…they’ve lost a lot defensively.” (Translation: Carragher sees significant issues in Liverpool’s performance and tactics.)

Midfield Link Play

In a highly anticipated matchup, Barcelona and PSG will face each other, but both teams are dealing with injuries. Key players like Joan Garcia for Barcelona and Ousmane Dembele for PSG will miss the match. PSG’s manager Luis Enrique stated:

“I’m not worried…that’s football at the top level.” (Translation: Enrique remains unconcerned about the injuries and trusts his squad.)
