The Miami Dolphins have struggled this season, holding a disappointing 1-5 record as they approach Week 7. A loss to the Cleveland Browns might prompt the Dolphins to consider dealing some key players before the November 4 trade deadline. One prominent name that may be up for trade is Jaylen Waddle. With 29 receptions for 340 yards and three touchdowns so far this season, Waddle is a highly attractive asset.
Among the potential landing spots for Waddle, the New York Giants stand out. With quarterback Jaxson Dart now at the helm and with the team looking to bolster their receiving corps after Malik Nabers’ injury, Waddle could fill a significant gap. Reports suggest the Giants are eager to make a move before the trade deadline.
Additionally, Pittsburgh Steelers may also see Waddle as a prime target. Their current roster lacks a strong No. 2 receiver behind DK Metcalf, positioning them to pursue a trade before the deadline.
Lastly, while the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots both have needs at the receiver position, the Dolphins might be hesitant to trade Waddle within their own division. Still, should either team present an irresistible offer, it may sway the Dolphins into negotiation.
Waddle addressed the speculation recently, stating, “I’m just focused on the game, focused on the Browns, and just trying to get a win.” However, the outcome of Sunday’s game could influence his future in Miami.
