Most playoff teams from the Eastern Conference were already set, with only seeding positions in flux during this intense final day. Notably, Inter Miami’s Lionel Messi scored three goals in a decisive 5-2 victory over Nashville SC, the very team they are scheduled to face in the first playoff round.
