Haji Wright's Ambition for the U.S. Men's World Cup Roster

After scoring twice against Australia, Haji Wright aims for a spot in the USMNT for the upcoming World Cup.

Haji Wright expressed enthusiasm after scoring twice for the U.S. men’s national team in a recent friendly against Australia. This performance significantly boosts his hopes for inclusion in the team for the upcoming World Cup

“I’m fit this season,” Wright mentioned during a press briefing at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. “The last few seasons have seen me struggle with minor injuries, making it tough to perform without pain.” (Translation: Wright noted that he is currently free from injuries and ready to showcase his skills.)

He is aware, however, that competition for the final roster is fierce.
In response to a question about his World Cup prospects, he asserted, “I believe I must maintain consistent performance.”

With only two more opportunities to impress the coaching staff before the final roster submission, Wright and the rest of the players are preparing for a challenging but crucial period. They will face Paraguay and Uruguay in November, followed by fixtures against Portugal and Belgium in March.
