Ravens Update Lamar Jackson's Injury Status Amid NFL Scrutiny

In a surprising turn regarding Lamar Jackson's injury status, the Ravens downgraded him from a 'full participant' to 'limited' just before their game against the Bears.

The availability of Baltimore Ravens star Lamar Jackson has raised eyebrows ahead of the Ravens’ Week 8 matchup against the Chicago Bears. Initially listed as a full participant, his status was adjusted to limited and now he has been downgraded from ‘questionable’ to ‘out’ for the upcoming game.

“Lamar Jackson was present for and participated fully in our entire Friday practice ahead of Sunday’s game against the Bears,” the Ravens stated on Saturday. “Upon further evaluation today and after conferring with the league office, because Lamar didn’t take starter reps in practice, we updated our report to reflect his practice participation.”

This clarification may not settle skepticism as an NFL spokesperson indicated plans for a closer investigation into the situation.

Jackson has participated in practice since leaving the Week 4 game against the Chiefs due to a hamstring injury that has kept him sidelined for three games. With Jackson out, Tyler Huntley is set to start for the Ravens.
