Myles Garrett Surpasses Reggie White for Most Career Sacks Before 30
In a remarkable achievement, Myles Garrett of the Cleveland Browns has surpassed NFL legend Reggie White in career sacks before turning 30. This milestone was achieved during a game against the New England Patriots.
Cleveland Browns edge rusher Myles Garrett made history during the first quarter of the matchup against the New England Patriots. On a crucial third and goal, Garrett sacked Patriots quarterback Drake Maye as he attempted a pass from the eight-yard line. This remarkable play not only prevented New England from scoring but also brought Garrett’s career sack total to 108.5, surpassing NFL great Reggie White for the most career sacks before 30.

Garrett’s performance illustrated his prowess, as he adeptly breached the left side of New England’s offensive line to reach Maye. Notably, he has already outperformed 2025 Hall of Fame honoree Jared Allen, who previously held second place on the under-30 sack list with 105 sacks. With eight games remaining in the season until he turns 30 on December 29, Garrett has the potential to expand his lead even further.
As it stands, he ranks 46th all-time in sacks, but he is poised to advance significantly in upcoming seasons. White concluded his Hall of Fame career with 198 sacks over 15 seasons, and if Garrett maintains his current form and longevity, he may even outpace White, aiming to potentially become the first player to achieve 200 career sacks.
