Aaron Rodgers Expresses Disappointment Following Loss to Packers; Steelers QB Commends Jordan Love

Aaron Rodgers shared his feelings about the game against his former team, highlighting his discontent with the performance and praising Jordan Love.

After the match against his old team, Aaron Rodgers conveyed his disappointment regarding his play and offered praise for Jordan Love’s performance. Despite the Steelers leading at halftime, Love orchestrated a comeback for the Packers, completing a franchise-record 20 consecutive passes.

Rodgers expressed frustration over the team’s execution, especially in the second half, stating, “Disappointed. Disappointed I didn’t play better, that we didn’t play better, especially in the second half.”

Problems with discipline and third-down conversions hindered the Steelers, who managed just one successful conversion out of ten attempts on third down. Rodgers highlighted that the team’s performance in these pivotal moments needed improvement.

“It’s not our style of business, and we can’t live like that,” Coach Mike Tomlin emphasized regarding the unnecessary penalties that impacted the game.

Despite the challenges, Rodgers completed 24 of 36 passes for 219 yards and two touchdowns, noting that the early third-quarter momentum shift led to the team’s struggles.

Praising Love’s performance, he said, “He played fantastic. He’s had a really nice season… based on his efficiency and the way he moved in the pocket.”

Reflecting on his past with the Packers, Rodgers acknowledged the unique atmosphere at the game, stating that it felt as if they were playing at Lambeau Field due to the support from Packers fans.
