Jordan Love Ties Brett Favre's Franchise Record as Packers Top Steelers

In a thrilling Sunday night game, Jordan Love matched a franchise record while leading the Packers to victory over the Steelers.

In a game that was filled with anticipation, Jordan Love led the Green Bay Packers to a 35-25 victory against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night. While much attention was placed on Aaron Rodgers, Love’s performance was the highlight.

In a remarkable display, he tied a record held by Brett Favre, the legendary former quarterback of the Packers, by completing 20 consecutive passes during the game. This achievement is reminiscent of Favre’s own record set in 2007, which Rodgers witnessed firsthand as his teammate.

“It’s definitely special,” Love remarked in a post-game interview with NBC Sports.
“We faced some challenges in the first half and managed to recover. This game was hyped-up all week with A-Rod coming back.”

After trailing at halftime 16-7, Love turned things around and helped the team surge ahead 35-19 with just under four minutes remaining. His connection with Tucker Kraft, who caught seven passes for 143 yards and two touchdowns, was crucial.

“We knew we just had to focus on the details,” Love stated regarding the adjustments made during halftime.
“Everybody had to do their job, which we improved on in the second half.”

Love’s impressive stats included 360 yards with 29 successful passes out of 37 attempts, marking him as the first Packers QB since Bart Starr to secure a win in Pittsburgh. This victory not only reinforces Love’s place in Packers history but also kept the team at the top of the NFC North standings.

Love’s accomplishment of tying Favre in franchise history also prevented Rodgers from achieving a unique milestone of being the fifth quarterback ever to defeat all 32 teams.
