Former NFL Star Adrian Peterson Arrested on DWI and Weapon Charges in Texas

Adrian Peterson, a renowned former NFL player, was apprehended in Texas for charges including DWI and unlawful possession of a weapon.

Adrian Peterson, the former NFL running back, is facing several charges after his arrest on Sunday morning in Sugar Land, Texas. Reports from local police, as mentioned by KHOU 11, reveal that Peterson was taken into custody at approximately 9:30 a.m. and charged with DWI and unlawful carrying of a weapon.

While specific details regarding the arrest have not been disclosed due to an ongoing investigation, records from Fort Bend County jail affirm Peterson’s custody. Earlier this year, Peterson was also involved in similar DWI charges shortly after attending the Minnesota NFL Draft party.

It should also be noted that he had previously engaged in a physical altercation related to a poker game, which led him to sign a contract for Celebrity Boxing, with his debut fight scheduled against Joe “Baby Joe” Castaneda following that incident.

Despite a tumultuous career, Peterson seeks to make a football return after a break in 2022 but has faced obstacles due to his age and performance issues. He remains one of the most accomplished players in NFL history, accumulating over 14,918 rushing yards and 120 touchdowns during his tenure.

Peterson hails from Palestine, Texas, located roughly three hours from Sugar Land.
