Lamar Jackson Injury Update: Ravens Coach Confident He'll Start Against Dolphins

Coach John Harbaugh expresses confidence that quarterback Lamar Jackson will play in the upcoming game after recovery from a hamstring injury.

After sitting out three consecutive games, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (hamstring) is projected to return next week against the Miami Dolphins. Coach John Harbaugh shared his confidence Monday that the two-time MVP will make his comeback for the Thursday night matchup.

“I feel very confident about it. We’ll expect him to be out there Thursday night,” Harbaugh stated.

Jackson suffered the hamstring strain during a game against the Kansas City Chiefs on September 28 and has been sidelined since.

There were hopes he would be able to start during Week 8 after being listed as a full participant in practice. However, a last-minute update declared him as limited and ultimately ruled him out for the game against the Chicago Bears, an oversight Harbaugh acknowledged as an honest mistake.

In Jackson’s absence, the Ravens relied on Tyler Huntley for one game while Cooper Rush was another option. Baltimore managed a solid 30-16 victory at home.

In Jackson’s initial four starts this season, he maintained a career-high 71.6% completion rate, totaling 869 yards, 10 touchdowns, and only one interception. He also added 166 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Currently, the Ravens hold a record of 2-5, placing them third in the AFC North.
