Shaquille O'Neal Unveils Jimmie Johnson's Car Design for the Upcoming Daytona 500

In a unique crossover event, Shaquille O'Neal has designed the car for legendary driver Jimmie Johnson for the Daytona 500, inspired by his early NBA uniform.

NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal has added NASCAR designer to his extensive resume, having designed the paint scheme for Jimmie Johnson’s car for the Daytona 500. Shaq won the right to design Johnson’s No. 84 Carvana Toyota after claiming victory in a free throw competition between the two icons.

O’Neal’s design resembles his NBA uniform from his time with the Orlando Magic and features his iconic ‘Dunkman’ logo. The next challenge for Johnson will be qualifying for the race, as it requires securing one of the spots in the 40-car field.

As the season unfolds, the crossover between basketball and NASCAR continues to grow, with notable figures like Brad Daugherty and Michael Jordan also venturing into the racing world.
