The Washington Commanders faced a tough loss against the Seattle Seahawks, culminating in a 38-14 defeat that saw star quarterback Jayden Daniels suffering a dislocated elbow late in the game.
Many fans criticized head coach Dan Quinn for keeping Daniels in the game despite the mounting score. After the game, Quinn accepted responsibility for this decision, acknowledging the risk posed to his star player’s health.
Quinn remarked on the situation, saying:
“I know many of you have been asking about the thought process of Jayden being in the game in that situation. I get that. I’ve been thinking about it honestly nonstop too, and for me the answer is, man, I missed it.”
Daniels’ injury is a major setback for the team as they navigate a challenging season. The Commanders are expected to be without their star QB for multiple games, which puts pressure on Marcus Mariota, who has seen limited action this season.
Next up, the Commanders will meet the Detroit Lions as they continue to assess Daniels’ recovery.
