
Major League Baseball, in conjunction with the Baseball Writers Association of America (BBWAA), has announced the finalists for the 2025 major awards: Most Valuable Player, Cy Young, Rookie of the Year, and Manager of the Year.
Voting was completed before the playoffs began. The league office presents the top three vote-getters for each award to generate excitement ahead of the announcement of the winners.
Announcement Schedule:
- Monday, Nov. 10: Jackie Robinson Rookie of the Year Awards
- Tuesday, Nov. 11: Manager of the Year Awards
- Wednesday, Nov. 12: Cy Young Awards
- Thursday, Nov. 13: Most Valuable Player Awards
American League MVP
- Aaron Judge, Yankees: .331/.457/.688 with 53 home runs, aiming for his third MVP.
- Cal Raleigh, Mariners: .247/.359/.589, a record-breaking catcher with 60 home runs.
- José Ramírez, Guardians: Continues to finish in top-six but hasn’t won yet.
American League Cy Young
- Hunter Brown, Astros: 12-9, 2.43 ERA, breakout season.
- Garrett Crochet, Red Sox: Outstanding performance, 18-5 with a 2.59 ERA.
- Tarik Skubal, Tigers: Looking to repeat after winning last year.
American League Rookie of the Year
- Roman Anthony, Red Sox: Impressive debut with strong stats.
- Nick Kurtz, Athletics: Debuted late but hit 36 home runs.
