Key Clash: PSG to Face Bayern Munich with Dembele's Potential Return

Paris Saint-Germain prepares to battle Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League, with Ousmane Dembele possibly making his return after injury.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) will take on Bayern Munich on Tuesday in one of the most awaited fixtures of the UEFA Champions League league phase for the season 2025-26. The defending champions of the Champions League enter the match after winning all three initial games in the league phase, the latest being a 2-1 win against Barcelona.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich, led by coach Vincent Kompany, is undefeated this season, leading both the Champions League and Bundesliga standings while also clinching the German Super Cup earlier this summer.

Is Dembele Returning?

Ahead of the crucial match, PSG’s manager Luis Enrique suggested that 2025 Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembele might start. He affirmed, “No risk with any player, but Ousmane is in condition. He has done all the training these past two weeks and is improving his physical condition. He will play, of course.”

Dembele, who has netted three goals this season, has faced challenges with injuries affecting his appearances. However, his involvement against Bayern could significantly impact PSG’s chances to end Bayern’s perfect start to the season.

Last Match Points Drop for Bayern

The last official game that Bayern Munich lost was to PSG during the FIFA Club World Cup quarterfinals last summer. Since then, they’ve maintained a winning streak.
