Antonio Brown Extradited to Face Charges in US for Attempted Murder

Antonio Brown has been extradited to the United States to face attempted murder charges after a warrant was issued in June.

Five months after a warrant was issued for the arrest of former NFL star wide receiver Antonio Brown following an alleged attempted murder with a firearm, he has been extradited from Dubai to the United States. The arrest was reported by the Miami Herald.

The incident occurred after a celebrity boxing event in Miami on May 16, with various videos surfacing online. Brown claims he was assaulted by a group trying to rob him, and he intended to discuss pressing charges against them. However, a month later, video evidence surfaced showing him in a violent altercation, culminating in gunfire.

The alleged victim reported that he sought medical attention for a wound apparently sustained during the encounter. Brown, who recently celebrated his 37th birthday, last played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2021. He is considered one of the best wide receivers of the 2010s, with notable accolades including multiple Pro Bowl selections.
