Not only did the Texans manage a stunning comeback from a 29-10 deficit in the fourth quarter to defeat the Jaguars 36-29, but they capped it off with an iconic moment.
For three quarters, without C.J. Stroud (concussion), Davis Mills and his team were struggling while the Jaguars were in control. Mills suffered an interception early on, and after Travis Etienne scored a 6-yard touchdown late in the third quarter, it seemed like Jacksonville had a straightforward win secured.
However, the momentum shifted dramatically. Mills connected with Jayden Higgins and Dalton Schultz for touchdowns, setting up the Texans to pull off an unthinkable turnaround with Mills executing a 14-yard touchdown run, giving the Texans a 30-29 lead. This marked his first rushing touchdown since 2022.
As tension mounted, the Jaguars regained possession with only 31 seconds left on the clock. Trevor Lawrence nearly brought Jacksonville into field goal position with a pass to Parker Washington. However, a critical penalty on Chuma Edoga positioned them back at their own 35-yard line with just seven seconds remaining.
Then came an unforgettable play:

Rankins is now the only player over 300 pounds to score a touchdown in the franchise’s history, having accomplished this feat twice, having previously scored a scoop-and-score with Houston in 2023.
