Miami Marlins Engage with Eury Pérez on Contract Talks

Eury Pérez, recognized as a rising star pitcher, is under consideration for a long-term contract with the Marlins. They plan to discuss a potential contract extension with Pérez this offseason, according to MLB.com. Previously, negotiations for an extension had taken place last spring but were not completed.

Pérez, aged 22, will only enter arbitration eligibility next year. Over 39 starts, he has recorded a 3.71 ERA (123 ERA+), showcasing a promising career.

The Marlins are also reportedly evaluating the possibility of extending up-and-coming outfielder Kyle Stowers.

Tampa Bay Rays Sign Fraley Again

In other news, the Tampa Bay Rays have acquired outfielder Jake Fraley, who will earn around $3 million in the upcoming season. Fraley had previously been waived by the Rays earlier this month, and this will mark his first big-league game back with the team after being traded out of college before reaching the majors.
