Stephen Curry to Miss a Week Due to Quad Injury After Rockets Loss
Stephen Curry is anticipated to be sidelined for about a week following a quad contusion experienced during the Golden State Warriors' defeat to the Houston Rockets.
Stephen Curry is expected to miss about a week after suffering a quad bruise during the Golden State Warriors’ loss to the Houston Rockets, according to reports from ESPN.
While he will be sidelined temporarily, the injury is not severe. Curry’s injury occurred as he took a charge with just over three minutes remaining in the game, and he was observed limping into the locker room in the final moments of the 104-100 defeat.
“When I heard it was a quad, I was actually relieved,” Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said afterward. “Better than an ankle or a knee.”
Curry is set to miss at least home games against the New Orleans Pelicans and the reigning champions, Oklahoma City Thunder. The Warriors will start a four-game road trip against the Philadelphia 76ers, scheduled eight days post-injury.
As of now, the Warriors are 10-10 and positioned eighth in the Western Conference standings. A significant issue for them has been their defense in recent games.
