The last week of the college football regular season is upon us, with several games holding playoff significance. Notably, the Alabama Crimson Tide are set to face the Auburn Tigers on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET. Currently, Alabama is favored by 5.5 points according to Week 14 college football odds, with the total set at 48.5.
SportsLine’s computer model favors Alabama, which has been successful in its last five encounters with Auburn, to cover the spread in 56% of simulations. The model is also backing Miami, giving a 7-point spread against Pitt, with 63% of simulations predicting the over (48.5 points) will hit in the UNC vs. NC State game.
Alabama -5.5 vs. Auburn
The Tide have maintained a five-game winning streak against Auburn and hold an 11-4 record in their last 15 road games. Conversely, Auburn’s performance has been lackluster, with a 2-6 record over their last eight games and 1-7 against SEC opponents. Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson has had a remarkable season with 2,934 passing yards and 22 touchdowns, without a single interception on the road.
Miami -7 vs. Pitt
The Miami Hurricanes are looking for a strong victory to increase their chances of making the College Football Playoff. Following a dominant 34-17 win against Virginia Tech, the Hurricanes, led by quarterback Carson Beck, who threw for 320 yards and four touchdowns, are favored to win against Pitt, a team they have historically dominated.
Over 48.5 points in UNC vs. NC State
Despite challenges in Bill Belichick’s inaugural season, the Tar Heels have consistently seen match totals go over in their last five contests against NC State. The Wolfpack have managed to score 48 points or more in two of their last three home games, marking a successful trend for the model predicting a total scoring of 56 points in this matchup.
