The Detroit Lions will need to regroup without wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown after he is ruled out for the remainder of their Thanksgiving matchup due to an ankle injury sustained during the first quarter.
The Detroit Lions are facing a significant setback as wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown has been ruled out for the remainder of their Thanksgiving game against the Green Bay Packers due to an ankle injury.
During the second drive of the matchup, St. Brown suffered the injury when rolled up on from behind while blocking for a run play. After lying on the ground for several minutes as trainers assessed the situation, he managed to walk off the field but was subsequently declared out during the third quarter.
This season, St. Brown has recorded 75 receptions for 884 yards and nine touchdowns across 11 games. Notably, the Lions are also missing tight end Sam LaPorta due to a back injury and wide receiver Kalif Raymond is inactive with an ankle issue.
Moving forward, Jameson Williams, Tom Kennedy, and rookies Isaac TeSlaa and Dominic Lovett will need to step up in St. Brown’s absence.
