Danilo Gallinari Ends His Basketball Career: A Look Back at His Journey

Danilo Gallinari, a prominent figure in the NBA, announced his retirement after a successful 14-year career.

Danilo Gallinari, the sixth overall selection by the New York Knicks in the 2008 NBA Draft, confirmed his retirement on social media. He had an extensive NBA career spanning 14 seasons, during which he played for eight different teams.

In his farewell message, Gallinari expressed deep gratitude, stating, “I don’t remember the exact moment you became part of my life… You’ve been a dream, a refuge, a constant challenge. You made me grow. Thank you for every fall and every comeback.”

His career highlights include significant contributions to various teams including the Knicks, Nuggets, Clippers, and Hawks. After an illustrious career, he ended his time in the NBA with averages of 14.9 points and 4.7 rebounds per game.

Gallinari also made a mark in international basketball, being a vital part of the Italian national team and recently competing in the FIBA EuroBasket.
