
The United States men’s national soccer team is set to play against Belgium, Portugal, and Germany as part of their last four friendlies leading up to the World Cup.
- The U.S., ranked 14th, will face No. 8 Belgium on March 28 and then No. 6 Portugal on March 31, both matches to be held in Atlanta, as announced by the U.S. Soccer Federation on Tuesday.
- Star player Cristiano Ronaldo from Portugal may make his first appearance in the U.S. since August 2, 2014, during a friendly match held at Ann Arbor, Michigan, when he played for Real Madrid against Manchester United.
Later, the American team will play against another opponent yet to be announced on May 31 in Charlotte, North Carolina, followed by a match against No. 9 Germany on June 6 in Chicago.
The U.S. squad will kick off their World Cup campaign on June 12 in Inglewood, California, and will proceed to play in Seattle a week later, wrapping up the group stage on June 25 also in Inglewood. The draw on Friday will determine the opponents for these matches.
Currently, the U.S. is enjoying an unbeaten streak in five friendlies, achieving four victories.
