College Football Playoff Rankings: Texas Tech Enters Top Four as Alabama Solidifies Bid

The latest College Football Playoff rankings reveal Texas Tech's advance while Alabama appears to secure its position.

The penultimate edition of the College Football Playoff Rankings was announced on Tuesday, maintaining undefeated Ohio State in the top position for four consecutive weeks. Texas Tech climbed to the number four spot after Texas A&M’s road loss, while Georgia took second place.

Texas Tech (11-1), coached by Joey McGuire, is set to compete in the Big 12 Championship Game, aiming for their first playoff appearance.

Ohio State seeks their seventh playoff slot in 12 years, preparing to face Indiana in the Big Ten Championship. The Buckeyes recently beat Michigan, illustrating their dominance this season.

Meanwhile, Alabama moved to the ninth position, reinforcing their playoff aspirations ahead of their matchup against Georgia in the SEC Championship Game.

Virginia is positioned to assert their case, while James Madison has also made the list for the first time, aiming for potential playoff inclusion.
