Rebecca Lowe has been announced as the host for the FIFA World Cup 2026 by FOX Sports, bringing her extensive experience in sports broadcasting.

FOX Sports has officially appointed the esteemed announcer and host Rebecca Lowe to its broadcast team for the FIFA World Cup 2026. This announcement was made by Brad Zager, the President of Production & Operations at FOX Sports.

“FOX Sports is thrilled to welcome Rebecca to our team for FIFA World Cup 2026,” Zager stated. “Rebecca is a world-class presenter and one of the most respected and revered voices in the global soccer landscape. We look forward to having her help lead the conversation among our roster of esteemed broadcasters and are grateful to NBC for granting Rebecca the opportunity to cover the tournament with FOX.”

Lowe comes with a rich background in sports hosting, having worked with NBC Sports for the Premier League, covering six Olympic Games and the Kentucky Derby since she started at NBC in 2013. Her career in sports broadcasting began in 2002 with the BBC in the UK, where she contributed to soccer programming and reported on events such as the FIFA World Cup 2006 and UEFA Women’s EURO 2005. Furthermore, she co-hosted ESPN U.K.’s Premier League coverage along with the U.S. broadcast for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Germany 2011 and UEFA EURO 2012.

“Hosting the FIFA World Cup — the world’s greatest event — in my adopted home country and contributing to the growth of the beautiful game in the U.S. is truly a dream come true,” remarked Lowe. “I’m extremely thankful to both NBC and FOX and cannot wait for the tournament to kick off next summer.”

FOX Sports is expected to reveal its entire broadcast team for FIFA World Cup 2026 nearer to the event.

This World Cup is set to be the first jointly hosted by three nations—United States, Mexico, and Canada—with 48 teams participating in a total of 104 matches across 16 cities. The event will take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
