LeBron James' Remarkable Scoring Streak Comes to an End
LeBron James' impressive 1,297-game streak of scoring double digits ends during a match against the Raptors, despite the Lakers securing a win.
LeBron James’ remarkable streak of 1,297 consecutive games scoring in double digits came to an end on Thursday night when he managed only 8 points during the Los Angeles Lakers’ 123-120 victory against the Toronto Raptors.
While James had an opportunity to maintain his streak in the final moments of the game, he opted to pass the ball to Rui Hachimura positioned in the corner.
Hachimura made the 3-pointer just as time expired, leading to a victorious celebration from James, who emphasized throughout his career the importance of making the right play.
“Bron told me right before this, ‘I got you. It’s going to come to you,’” Hachimura stated in a televised interview on the court.
With the conclusion of the streak, the win remained the primary focus for James.
“LeBron is acutely aware of how many points he has at that point,” commented Lakers coach JJ Redick. “He did it like he’s done so many times.”
