Raptors Coach Criticizes Tristan Thompson for Last-Minute Dunk

Toronto Raptors' coach expresses discontent over Cavs' player Tristan Thompson's dunk at the end of a blowout game.

Toronto Raptors coach Darko Rajakovic criticized Cleveland Cavaliers center Tristan Thompson, stating his late dunk with four seconds remaining in a recent game was disrespectful. The Raptors lost to the Cavaliers 131-108, leading to booing from fans. Rajakovic commented, “I think what Tristan did there was no class and disrespectful… I love when my team stands up for themselves.”

Thompson’s dunk drew ire from Raptors players Scottie Barnes and Jamal Shead, who confronted him post-game. Shead added, “What he did at the end of the game was just a little bit disrespectful to the game of basketball, not just us.”

Cavs coach Kenny Atkinson acknowledged the situation was unexpected, and RJ Barrett, also of the Raptors, understood his teammates’ frustration, noting an unwritten rule against such actions at the game’s conclusion.
