Kalen DeBoer Comments on Alabama's Playoff Hopes After Loss to Georgia
The Crimson Tide coach discusses Alabama's chances for the College Football Playoff following a defeat to Georgia in the SEC Championship Game.
After a significant defeat to Georgia, the Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer swiftly redirected focus to the College Football Playoff discussions. The Crimson Tide faced a challenging matchup in the SEC Championship Game, ultimately losing 28-7, marking their third loss this season.
DeBoer noted, “Looking at our games this season, this was a 14-point game with only 7.5 minutes left, and we had possession. We can’t dwell on the losing margin; a loss is a loss. Our goal is to win the SEC Championship.”
He expressed hope that Alabama’s playoff bid remains viable despite the setback, emphasizing that they might be the first three-loss team selected if chosen. He also mentioned the impact of injury woes on the team, particularly highlighting key players like LT Overton and Jam Miller, indicating their potential return if given some time to recover.
